Kul has worked for a number of multinational technology companies in senior roles. Recently he worked for Silicon Valley based broadband optimization company, ASSIA, as the Vice President of sub-region South-East Asia.
Kul has overseen some of Australia’s most exciting transmission and broadband projects during his 9 years with Marconi and Ericsson as a CTO & General Manager of the Broadband Networks division.
As the Director of Broadband Solutions and nbn™ at Kordia Solutions, Kul was responsible for developing market competitive offerings and ensuring that customers were provided with network solutions and engineering services which timely met their requirements. One of the key wins was with nbn™ where his team was responsible for the planning, designing and building of the FTTH network for 100k homes in NSW. During his time, Kordia also published a white paper for Local Government Authorities (LGAs) and Telecommunication groups within Australia. Through this paper, Kordia shared knowledge as to how Local Governments could embrace and enhance the nbn™ rollout.
While with Marconi, Kul provided technical expertise for a number of projects including the implementation and design of the world’s largest non-regenerated optical link (Amcom IP1) and the roll-out of both TransACT and Western Power’s advanced DSL/FTTx based broadband networks delivering IPTV services. His integral work on those projects helped see Marconi recognised as Hardware Vendor of the Year at the Australian Telecom Awards.
Prior to joining Marconi/Ericsson, Kul worked with Optus in the very early days when the company was acquiring its carrier license to operate in Australia.
